How does the ceramic heat exchanger in Ventoxx HRVs survive the winter cold?

Unlike copper heat exchangers, the ceramic heat exchanger is not subject to icing in winter and therefore does not collapse afterward.

This is because the properties of ceramics are better at accumulating heat than copper.
In addition, not being a metal, this material does not undergo significant thermal expansion when the temperature and humidity of the outside air change. Thus, the most common design problem of HRVs in our products is completely excluded.
